The Regen system is a medical device designed to facilitate physical therapeutic exercises for patients with neuromuscular impairments in their limbs, aiming to improve their strength and mobility. The device is primarily intended for use in hospital or clinical environments and should be operated by a qualified technician or therapist.
Consisting of a human-interactive robot arm attached to a motorized base, the Regen system connects to patients via an arm or leg brace, providing therapeutic motions to patients. The device is equipped with a touchscreen that interfaces with Regen’s software, allowing operators to manage patient profiles, program motions, and perform exercises.
The operator can easily calibrate and teach the device new motions for each user, set repetitions for each motion, and start playback. The device guides users through each motion while also providing assistance as needed.
The global demand for rehabilitation is increasing due to rising cases of stroke, chronic disease and injury among an aging population.
In standard clinical operations, it is often difficult to provide the high intensity, high repetition, long duration therapy sessions needed for recovery.
Rehabilitation centers are actively looking for automated solutions to improve clinical efficacy and operational efficiency.
At Roboligent, we offer a solution for cutting-edge robotic-assisted rehabilitation to meet these needs.
The results we’ve seen so far have been highly significant, exceeding even our own expectations. As we continue with other pilot studies, we’re eager to gather even more clinical evidence with Regen to continue improving the lives of patients with neuromuscular impairments.
