One of the specialized applications includes developing medical devices that improve the quality of life for patients with neuromuscular impairments. The leadership team

Dr. Bongsu Kim
He developed a widely-known exoskeleton robot (featured by many multimedia) during his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Before his Ph.D. and after master’s degree at KAIST, he had worked for an enterprise, KEPCO, for five years developing cutting-edge dynamic control systems and managing projects and subcontractor companies.

Dr. Luis Sentis
He is a Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at The University of Texas at Austin. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Before Stanford, he worked in Silicon Valley as a Control Systems Engineer for clean room automation. He has been awarded the NASA Elite Team Award for his contributions to NASA’s Johnson Space Center Software Robotics and Simulation Division.

He is an experienced entrepreneur with deep knowledge in navigating company setup and growth, product development, testing, production, regulatory affairs and business development. His specialized expertise includes bringing highly regulated medical devices to market starting as early as the concept phase. With extensive international business experience, he has participated in raising $40M from private and public sources for his companies and participated in successful exits.
